Matthew has always been fascinated with investing and proper money management habits. He is currently a Partner of Cohesion Wealth Advisors,LLC and Cohesion Business Advisors, LLC both based in Dallas, Texas. Matthew continues to practice in the Wealth management space but has received multiple requests to help with consulting of his clients business operations. Matthew has worked with budgeting, structure analysis, forecasting, and placement for the past 7 years on the business owner’s personal side and has implemented a system to bring his knowledge to businesses.
Both his parents and grandparents owned their own businesses which instilled in Matthew an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for helping small business owners and individuals develop a “blueprint” for pursuing their financial goals. During the past four years, Matthew has worked with a dedicated estate consultant to become an expert in Estate strategies. He has developed a great knowledge of the insurance and financial services industries and has since realized that most people who are in business lack someone to help guide their back office so that they can grow their practice.

After graduating from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Matthew began his financial advisory career with Ameriprise Financial and moved to Woodbury Financial Services to become an independent representative in 2008. In 2016, Matthew left Woodbury and is now working with SCF Securities.  Matthew works closely with other professionals within the financial community and has held several educational seminars instructing clients with financial education. He is currently licensed in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Mississippi and Texas and holds a Series 7, 65 and 63 license.

Matthew believes strongly in helping those in and around the community. He helps people as a career, as well as outside of the office. He has coordinated charitable dinners during the holidays for unfortunate children and participated in multiple cook-offs benefiting various Louisiana towns. Matthew is always on the look-out for fun and creative ways to raise awareness for others in need.

While living in Louisiana, he was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and a leader with Nicholls State University’s Young Entrepreneur Program, developed to help high school juniors and seniors in constructing their own businesses.
